A community
united in love

We are here for people-for those who are seeking, for those who are suffering, and for those who want to grow in faith.

Who are we?

We are glad to introduce El Shaddai Church in a few words. We are a Christian community that loves and serves all people with passion. We have nothing special of our own, but everything good we have we received from God, who taught us—through the model He lived and wrote—how to love our neighbors.

We seek to be a church that is relevant both for our youth and children and for our parents. We realize that only through unity in Jesus Christ can we worship and rejoice together. We are focused on today’s generation and tomorrow’s generation, and centered on Christ.

We are a church passionate about the Word of God because we desire to know Him more. We value prayer, knowing that we depend on God’s grace. At the center of our worship we place Christ, because everything is about Him. We see the importance of discipleship groups and place special emphasis on them, through which the church is built in relationships and many needs are met. Through these discipleship groups, we have managed to be both a large and a small church at the same time.

We have a mandate that does not change, even in times of crisis: to make Christ known to people—the solution of God for every person, regardless of their situation or condition.

What is our mission?

The Church is the assembly of the Lord Jesus Christ, redeemed by His own blood.

This statement does not apply to any other institution, and if we understand what the Church truly means, we will understand who we have been until now, who we are today, who we will continue to be, and especially what we are called to be.

The term “church” comes from the Greek verb kaleō, which means “to call.” This seems to be a fitting word to define us. The Church is therefore the assembly of those who are called and gathered together by God to fulfill His purposes.

As members of the Body of Christ, El Shaddai Church in Sânnicolau Mic is called to know the Almighty God, but also to make Him known throughout the whole world. Sincere and biblical fellowship in worship is one of the pillars that support the vision of El Shaddai Church, thus seeking to avoid falling into the ritual of routine services.

Likewise, El Shaddai Church has as its purposes serving others (Matthew 22:39, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself”), evangelizing the nations (Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”), and glorifying God through the proclamation and faithful living of the Holy Scriptures.

Many call Him “Lord,” but do not obey Him; call Him “Light,” but do not see Him; call Him “Way,” but do not walk in Him; call Him “Life,” but do not live Him; call Him “Wise,” but do not listen to Him; call Him “Good,” but do not love Him; call Him “Rich,” but ask nothing of Him; call Him “Eternal,” but do not seek Him.

We desire that El Shaddai Church, Sânnicolau Mic, may know and fulfill its purpose and calling.

May the Lord God of heaven and earth bless you!

From vision to reality

A project begun in faith, built with perseverance, and supported by people who believe in a better future for Sânnicolau Mic.

1. The vision and the beginnings (2011–2014)

Biserica El Shaddai is born in the Sânnicolau Mic neighborhood, in a house.

The work of evangelism and service to the community begins.

The vision emerges for a place dedicated to worship, social ministry, and education.

In 2014, the procedures to obtain a suitable plot of land begin.

2. Land acquisition (2014–2016)

After years of prayer, trials, and faith, the church acquires the land on Clopotului Street no. 151.

The land has a deep significance: a former moonshine still once operated here, a place associated with addiction and suffering → now it becomes a place of freedom and transformation through the Gospel.

Preparation for construction begins: cleaning, leveling, and marking the area.

3. The first building: modular containers (2016–2017)

The first provisional building is constructed, made up of three modular containers.

The structure is assembled, insulation is added, along with finishes and the roof.

It becomes the first “house of prayer” on the new land.

April 2, 2017 – Official inauguration

El Shaddai Church is officially inaugurated here.

The first services, the first evangelistic events, and the first social projects take place at the new location.

4. Construction of the main building (2018–2023)

Construction of the multifunctional center begins:

- foundations
- walls
- concrete slab
- roof
- exterior insulation

The project develops step by step, according to available funds and the involvement of volunteers.

Partnerships are established with DSP Arad, DGASPC, Arad Police, and other institutions for social work.

5. The present work (2023–present)

The large building is currently at the stage of electrical and sanitary installations, as well as interior and exterior finishes.

Spaces dedicated to the kitchen, after-school rooms, the multifunctional hall, and the worship hall are being prepared.

At the same time, the social and spiritual work functions daily:

- hot meals
- programs for children
- day center for the elderly
- counseling and support
- voluntary medical assistance
- evangelism and community events

The total value of the project is 600.000 €,and every donation brings us closer to completing a center that will serve entire generations.
